Opening day was really fun here at Convention. Thousands of screaming Stampin' Up! demos. Ladies swapping, waving flags, wearing funny hats, matching tees. Wow, it is too hard to describe how much energy and enthusiasm there was in the room!
We saw some really neat NEW stuff and learned about some new things that Stampin' Up! is planning in the future. Here are a few things...
- Shelli (the owner and co-founder of SU) will have her own signature collection.
- Shelli will have her own blog (soshelli.com) and will be posting like all us other bloggers. She will have a creative challenge posted in which she will personally choose her favorite of all the entries!
- NEW Decor Element images in different colors!
- Discount on selected new stamp sets! The promo starts August 11. Stay tuned to this blog, as I will post the names of the new sets that will be offered at 15% off. Yeah!

To tide you over a bit, here are some pictures for you to peek at.
Aren't they SO cute! There are a bunch of new colors and images like I've said. They showed us a baby themed one and a lot of holiday themed ones. They are going to debut Phase 2 "in the fall", so I don't want to show you too much! Add me to your blog reader. You know I'll post everything as soon as they tell us it's okay! I have a few more Decor Elements pictures in my Convention album. More of the same of the as above.
Speaking of Decor Elements, check out this picture of some of the swappers in the Decor Elements swap I hosted. Look at the guy on the left with the video camera. Kim (s1itcher46) let him know that we were doing a HUGE swap and he came over to tape us! SU has camera people throughout Convention taking pictures and videos which they use at closing session. Maybe so of us will be on the big screen!
Here are some swatches of some of the new Designer Series Paper. I know this doesn't show too much detail, but it's still fun to look at! lol Be sure to check out the Convention Album to see swatches of ALL the new papers. I don't know the names of all the packs yet, since I STILL have not really sat down with my catalog. I have a feeling that I won't be able to view it while I am here in SLC. I need to snuggle up on my reading couch at home and study it there.
Please forgive the blurriness in my pictures. This is the best I can get with all those crazy demos jocking for position. lol For closer (but a bit blurry) look at some of these, check the Convention Album. These are Love notes, gift card holders, Carousel notes and die cut blooms.

Here is more new stuff! Top left are the new buttons, right below that are those clips that I mentioned yesterday. Then stylized brads. Gorgeous! There are the new felt flower colors. VANILLA hodgepodge and then punched CS with our new punches!
I neglected to post this last night, so I am doing it now. This is a swap from the SCS Dinner from last night. This card was made by Ruth Schow. This was my FAVORITE card of the night. CUTE CUTE CUTE!
Okay, it's 2am. I need some sleep. Hopefully I have more for you tomorrow night after RockyMountainStamper's 80s night!

Wow Michelle, your pics from convention are just great! ...and since my last visit, your blog has made quite a few changes - it looks great too! I look forward to being able to visit more often now that I am feeling better as I always get such inspiration from your ideas! :)
